Hotel Lobby AI clips remixed for Lovart ME

Two friends and two cats in the orange booth, cut from 10-second Seedance 2 Mini originals, plus one booth still with custom outfits designed here.

All people are original generated adults and the cats are original generated animals; nothing here uses the COLORS footage or a real performer’s face. The two clips are Lovart ME cuts of 480p Seedance 2 Mini clips made from the two photos on each card. Nothing here was made with the workbench above.

02 / Still first

Design the Hotel Lobby AI booth still first

Put Photo 1 on the left and Photo 2 on the right in one booth still, check both faces, then spend credits on the video.

  1. Step 1 example: Photo 1, the left performer

    Two portraits as references

One subject per photo, facing the camera or slightly angled, in light of similar brightness. Eyes and mouth visible, no sunglasses, masks or hands over the face; waist-up or full body so outfit and proportions carry over.

  2. Step 2 example: a booth still, left and right performers under one hanging mic

    Left and right order

Photo 1 becomes the left performer and Photo 2 the right. Design the booth sends both to Image to Image with GPT Image 2.5 Flare; the still defaults to 2K, with 4K in the Still size menu. Wrong side? Press Swap left and right and rebuild.

  3. Step 3 example: a frame from the animated duet

    Check faces before the video

Only when both faces look right, press Animate it: the still becomes the first frame in Image to Video, Seedance 2.5 by default, 10 seconds, credits on the button.

03 / Not a hotel

Why the Hotel Lobby AI trend has no hotel

It remakes Quavo and Takeoff’s 2022 COLORS performance of “Hotel Lobby”: two new performers share one hanging mic in an orange studio, not a hotel.

  1. May 20, 2022Quavo and Takeoff release “HOTEL LOBBY (Unc & Phew)” on Quality Control Music/Motown. “Unc & Phew” is their real family tie: Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle.
  2. Jun 17, 2022COLORS publishes “Quavo & Takeoff - HOTEL LOBBY | A COLORS SHOW”: a bright orange set, one suspended mic, no crowd, no props. It opened COLORS’ Black Music Month series with Motown.
  3. Sep 16, 2026A TikTok AI edit swaps in Harvey and Mike from Suits and passes 1.7 million views in twelve days.

The song and the COLORS set

The name comes from the song title. The look comes from the COLORS show: a seamless orange studio and one microphone hanging between the two performers. AI versions keep that set and swap the people.

How it spread in September 2026

After the Suits edit, the format ran across TikTok and X through the second half of September 2026 with friends, couples, coworkers, cats and dogs, and fictional pairs. Quavo reposted the untouched COLORS performance, calling it “The Original”. Takeoff died in November 2022, so fans read the remixes as a tribute or find them uncomfortable.

04 / Prompts

Hotel Lobby AI prompt for the still and the motion

Write one prompt that places both people left and right in the matte orange booth with one hanging mic, and one that animates that still with a fixed front camera.

The order matters: format, who stands where, the set, the microphone, the camera, the performance, identity rules, then exclusions. The Hotel Lobby tab fills these in for you; copy a board when you want to work in Image to Image or Image to Video directly.

Booth still prompt

Format

Vertical 9:16, one still frame.

Left and right

Photo 1 is the person standing on the left, photo 2 is the person standing on the right.

Set

Seamless matte orange walls and floor, no furniture.

Microphone

One silver microphone hanging on a cable between them at mouth height.

Camera

Fixed front-facing camera, both waist-up to full body.

Identity

Keep each face, hair, skin tone and clothing exactly as in their photo; never swap or blend them.

Exclude

No text, no logos, no watermarks, no extra people.

Format

Use the photo as the first frame. One continuous vertical shot, no cuts.

Camera

Fixed front-facing camera, full body.

Performance

They share the hanging microphone and take turns: the left one raps toward the mic while the right one nods and reacts, then they switch, ending with both looking at the camera.

Identity

Keep each face, hair, skin tone and clothing; never swap or blend them, they never cross positions.

Exclude

No text, logos or extra people. Original instrumental hip-hop beat, no existing song or lyrics.

05 / Restyle

Restyle the Hotel Lobby AI booth with your own references

Add a color swatch, an outfit picture or a microphone style as extra references; the still keeps both faces and changes the set.

Classic orange booth: two friends in their own clothes
Classic · their own clothes
Booth still, custom outfits: the same two in mustard and green jackets
Custom · outfit reference added

Booth color

Pick Your color booth and put a color swatch or a photo of a wall you like in the third slot; the walls and floor take that color. Orange is what makes the trend recognizable at a glance, so change it when you want your own version, not a lookalike.

Matching or contrasting outfits

Keep Classic orange booth and add up to three outfit pictures after the two portraits. Contrasting outfits also help the model keep the two faces apart; matching ones read as a duo act.

06 / Faces

Keep both faces right in a Hotel Lobby AI duet

Use one clear person per photo, different outfits, confirm left and right on the still, keep the camera fixed and try a shorter clip.

Why faces swap

Faces swap, blend or drift when the model loses track of which reference belongs to which performer. Unclear or crowded photos, similar outfits, overlapping bodies and fast motion all make that more likely.

Hotel Lobby AI routes compared

A template is fastest, motion transfer copies the original routine, and a designed still lets you fix faces, outfits and the booth before the video.

Template

A two-photo template effect handles the booth, framing and motion for you. One fast try, nothing to adjust.

Motion transfer

Uses the original performance clip as the motion reference, so it keeps the original moves, timing and audio. That also means reusing footage you do not own.

Designed still

The Hotel Lobby tab: compose one still with both people in the booth, check it, then animate it. Faces, outfits and booth color are settled before the video costs anything.

08 / Cover

Hotel Lobby AI cover poster and more video effects

Export the still at 4K and add a title in PhotoCraft for a single-cover poster, or try Zombie Couple and Swing Dance with the same two photos.

Layout example: the custom-outfit booth still with a title set over the orange wall.

Cover in PhotoCraft

Set Still size to 4K and design the booth. Download still, then open it in PhotoCraft, the free browser editor: the empty orange wall above the mic leaves room for a title and your names. Square-crop it for a single cover or keep it 9:16 for a story.

Questions

Hotel Lobby AI questions

Why is it called Hotel Lobby if there is no hotel?

“Hotel Lobby” is the 2022 Quavo and Takeoff song, “HOTEL LOBBY (Unc & Phew)”. The set everyone copies is the orange COLORS studio with one microphone hanging between the two performers; there is no hotel in it.

Can I change the booth color or outfits?

Yes. Pick Your color booth and add a color swatch, or keep Classic orange booth and add outfit pictures in the extra slots; the still keeps both faces and changes the set or clothes. Keep orange if you want people to recognize the trend at a glance.

Can I use the original Hotel Lobby song?

Export the clip without music, then add the official sound inside TikTok when you post from a personal account. Brand posts and ads should use music cleared for commercial use, such as TikTok’s Commercial Music Library, or an original beat. CapCut mutes template audio it has no agreement for.

Can two pets do it?

Yes, the two-cat sample shows it. Pick Two pets and use photos where the eyes, ears and fur markings are clear, one animal per photo.

Where do the sample clips come from?

They are remixes of 10-second, 480p Seedance 2 Mini clips made for this trend on October 23, 2026, straight from the two input photos: re-cut, reframed, color graded and upscaled, with no new AI generation. Each card shows the two original photos.

Why do some people find the trend uncomfortable?

Takeoff died in November 2022 at 28, so each remix reuses a performance he can no longer approve. Fans are split between seeing it as a tribute and finding it uncomfortable, and Quavo described the resurgence as bittersweet.

What size should a Hotel Lobby clip be?

Vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 1:1 for a feed post, and 16:9 for YouTube or a horizontal edit. The Hotel Lobby tab offers all three; Veo 3 models take 9:16 and 16:9 only.

Does it cost credits?

Yes. The still and the video each use credits, and the amount shows on each button before you run it. Packs start at $9.90 for 250 credits.
